(Clearwisdom.net) Guards in the Sixth Ward of Wangling Prison in You County, Hunan Province, used torture in attempts to “transform” imprisoned practitioners. The following are details about practitioners Mr. Yuan Rong and Mr. Chen Kaiming.On September 27, 2008, at around 10:00 a.m., Mr. Yuan Rong, to protest how he was being abused, refused to squat (forced squatting for extended periods is a common torture). Zhou Weihe, political instructor from the Sixth Ward, fiercely kicked Mr. Yuan in the legs and the abdomen while others watched. Afterward, Zhou ordered four guards to hold Mr. Yuan down on the ground and handcuff him to a tree. An hour later they released him and then handcuffed him in an office.
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Yu Shaoqi, 32, is a practitioner in Chenxi County, Hunan Province. Recently, Chinese Community Party (CCP) members forced his family to inject him with psychiatric drugs.Mr. Yu Shaoqi, also called Yu Jun, is an employee of the Chenxi County Meteorological Bureau in Hunan Province. Since the CCP started persecuting Falun Gong practitioners in July 1999, Mr. Yu has been detained at least six times. In November 2005, he was imprisoned in a forced labor camp. In December 2006, under pressure from the Huaihua City Politics and Law Committee, the 610 Office, the Domestic Security Section, and the Chenxi County Domestic Security Section, Mr. Yu’s employer, the Meteorological Bureau, took him to the Huaihua City Mental Hospital. While there, he suffered three months of psychiatric persecution and developed symptoms of dementia, foot trembling, blurred vision, and mouth-watering.
(Clearwisdom.net) Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, practitioner Mr. Lai Xiaoyun and his family have had to endure constant torment by CCP agents. The police continually harass the family in many ways, and even took Mr. Lai’s computer from his home.Mr. Lai’s mother had cancer and there was no treatment that could help her, so doctors gave her one year to live. In 1997, she began studying Falun Gong. Not long after, she made a full recovery. Nevertheless, CCP officers forced her to write a guarantee statement, promising not to practice Falun Gong. They told her that if she refused to sign the statement her pension would be withheld, etc. She was so frightened that she quit practicing and the cancer returned. Ultimately, she passed away as a result of the persecution in 2001.
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Li Wenbo, 43, lived in Gucheng Village, Kunyang Town, Jinning County, in Kunming City, Yunnan Province. In February 2005, he was detained for promoting Falun Gong and exposing the persecution. He was sentenced to three years of forced labor and taken to theYunnan Province Second Forced Labor Camp on February 6, 2005. He suffered severely from the abuse inflicted upon him by the guards and inmates. As a result, he lost his eyesight, six of his front teeth were knocked out, and his left leg had at nine-inch-long scar.
(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jin Youfeng was a physical education teacher. He worked in the Phys. Ed. Department of Mudanjiang City Normal College in Heilongjiang Province. After he went to appeal for Falun Dafa in September 1999, he was fired and then sentenced to three years of forced labor, which he served in the Mudanjiang City Forced Labor Camp. His wife, Ms. Jiang Chunmei, is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. She is a lecturer in the Foreign Language Department of the same college. She was arrested and detained many times. On October 22, 2003, they were both arrested, despite the fact that she was still breastfeeding. Mr. Jin’s 75-year-old mother and their two children, one 10 years old and the younger less than 15 months, were left on their own. On the evening of November 26, 2003, the couple was taken to be detained in the Mudanjiang City Second Detention Center. The children were picked up by their relatives. (more…)
