A Young Woman’s Plea Touched Finland’s Media

Zhaoyu Jin is a Chinese girl in her twenties.  She met her Finn husband Tommi in China in 2004.  July 2008, Zhaoyu came to Finland to visit Tommi’s family.  However, just as she arrived in Finland, her mother was arrested in China right before the Beijing Olympic Games because her mother practices Falun Gong.  The Chinese policemen broke into their house to search for Falun Gong literatures.  After that, Zhaoyu’s younger sister was the only person left home.  In early 2009, Zhaoyu’s mother Chen Zhenping was sentenced to 8 years in prison. ...More
