She began cultivating Falun Dafa at the end of 1997, actively spreading the practice in several dozen nearby villages and establishing a group Fa-study and exercise site in her home. (Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jiang Xiqing, 66, is a retired employee of the Jiangjin City Property Tax Department under the jurisdiction of the Chongqing Municipality. He lived in Room 301 in the Jizi Building of the Jiangjin City Property Tax Department. On May 13, 2008, the day after the major earthquake in Sichuan Province, Mr. Jiang, a Falun Gong practitioner, was taken from his home by Communist Party officials. His wife Ms. Luo Zehui also went missing on the same day in Youxi Township, Jiangjin City. After repeated inquiries, their family found out that Ms. Luo was also taken into custody and had been placed under arrest on the approval of the Jiangjin District Procuratorate. The family went to a detention center several times and learned that Mr. Jiang had been sentenced to one year of forced labor, but there was no word about his wife, Ms. Luo. On December 2, 2008, the family visited the detention center again and learned that Ms. Luo had been sentenced to eight years in prison. They have not received the sentencing document, nor have they seen Ms. Luo.

(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Jin Youfeng was a physical education teacher. He worked in the Phys. Ed. Department of Mudanjiang City Normal College in Heilongjiang Province. After he went to appeal for Falun Dafa in September 1999, he was fired and then sentenced to three years of forced labor, which he served in the Mudanjiang City Forced Labor Camp. His wife, Ms. Jiang Chunmei, is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. She is a lecturer in the Foreign Language Department of the same college. She was arrested and detained many times. On October 22, 2003, they were both arrested, despite the fact that she was still breastfeeding. Mr. Jin's 75-year-old mother and their two children, one 10 years old and the younger less than 15 months, were left on their own. On the evening of November 26, 2003, the couple was taken to be detained in the Mudanjiang City Second Detention Center. The children were picked up by their relatives.
